The shape and feel of this mouth-blown glass lamp series dates back to the 1950s. mawa equips them with the latest technology and constructive optimizations for the coming decades. Aloys Ferdinand Gangkofner is one of the most important German glass designers of the post-war period. The glass designs are characterized by his origins from the craft environment of the glass centers in the Bavarian Forest. Some of his serial works, which he developed for the renowned Peill & Putzler glassworks from the 1950s onwards, are very close to the reduced repertoire of forms of modernism. In close coordination with his descendants, mawa has re-edited a selection of glass pendant lights. The original designs were slightly modified and technically adapted to today's standards. Glass holders made of translucent and shatterproof Makrolon® support the umbrellas; a wrapped textile cable with an internal steel core anchored in the glass holder ensures safety. The glasses are movable and easy to clean. An intelligent wireless control for dimming via the CASAMBI app can be integrated on request. Pendant lights of the gangkofner edition can be configured in a modular manner. Choose the shape (“click here for an overview”), type of glass, colors of the pendulum and canopy, as well as the cable. Ideally, you should tell your dealer the desired cable length when ordering. In rooms from the Wilhelminian era, gas hooks can be concealed with height-adjustable canopies. Each lamp is unique - a note on the glass quality. Glasses from the Gangkofner edition are very elaborately manufactured by hand using the triplex process and consist of three layers of glass. Therefore, slight deviations in dimensions, glass thickness or isolated air bubbles are unavoidable (2.5 - 3 bubbles per 50 mm are within the tolerance). There may also be slight color deviations with metallized crystal glass and smoked glass. These deviations are always a sign of quality craftsmanship.
