Louis Poulsen - AJ floor lamp
Tradition meets modernity
The AJ floor lamp by Louis Poulsen was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1960 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (Radisson Blu) and was part of the design concept for the hotel. Some of the furnishings, including the AJ lights in the lighting, from this concept are design icons and have already achieved world fame. The AJ floor lamp stands out thanks to its unusual, swiveling shade, whose asymmetrical shape distributes the light accordingly. The lamp base with the characteristic opening contributes to the elegance and weightlessness of the design.
