Gubi - Wall light Bestlite BL7 chrome
Quantity:
The Bestlite BL7 wall lamp, designed by Robert Dudley Best in 1930, celebrates elegant and clear lines with a clear reference to the Bauhaus period. With its contemporary look in various versions and the movable shade, the Bestlite BL7 wall light is ideal for the hallway, as a bedside lamp or above the kitchen counter. Leave them alone or combine them in pairs to create an expressive light source. The Bestlite lamp design was first adopted by workshops and the Royal Air Force's engineering departments due to its great functionality. A feature in Architects Journal praising Bestlite with the title of the first example of the Bauhaus in Britain brought the lamp to the attention of the design-conscious. Public demand for the Bestlite lamps soon followed, and when Winston Churchill personally selected the Bestlite BL1 table lamp for his desk, Bestlite's cult status was assured. The Bestlite design stays close to its industrial roots and true to its original design. Bestlite is in permanent collections at both the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Design Museum in London. Loved by architects, designers and design lovers throughout its long history, Bestlite has now become a contemporary classic.
