The seductive shape of a female braid was the initial inspiration of the Tress lighting family. A Foscarini design idea made reality through the development of a completely original technological process, in which a strip of fiberglass and synthetic resin, braided in a random order, forms a structure that also represents the decorative element of the lamp. Tress changes its personality with the color: light and discreet in the white version, strong and decisive in the black version, volcanic and totemic in the red version, in which the contrast between inside and outside is even more pronounced. In the floor lamp, the power cable is incorporated into the braid, which simultaneously functions as a structure, decoration and shielding and creates an incomparable interplay of full surfaces and free spaces, of light and shadow. The light flowing through the lamp creates a particularly fascinating effect because there are two separate light sources: the one lower down illuminates the entire interior and underlines the graphic dimension of the wickerwork, while the upper one creates a reflected light that is thrown onto the ceiling. Floor lamp with diffuse and indirect light. The fiberglass composite diffuser is manufactured by modeling the tape on a mold with automatic spacing/design control and coated with epoxy powder paint. The large version has two separate light sources: one is at the top of the diffuser, the other in the base inside the diffuser, upper reflector made of aluminum. Transparent cable with dimmer, which serves both to continuously regulate the light intensity of the upper light source and as an on/off switch for the lower light source. In the medium version there is a single light source in the base inside the diffuser. Transparent cable with on/off switch and dimmer for continuous regulation of the light intensity.
